I will overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer will face the American YouTuber in an eight round contest which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the two fighters met personally to publicize next month's heavyweight fight.

Ex two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a huge mismatch - at Miami arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Mindset

"I plan to injure his face and hurt his body. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I intend to really want to hurt him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul victory.

"[Paul] is better than Tyson Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua chose not to comment unfavorably about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's History

Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since entering professional boxing.

He lost to Briton Fury in last year.

Financial Attraction

Still, the novice remains one of the sport's largest money-making draws, consistently making substantial earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would derail the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly under discussion for two years from now.

"It will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul declared.

Size Disparity

As the two fighters met for the usual face-off, with their size difference evident, it drove home just how surprising this complete situation is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is really proceeding.
